"The preparation" is a freeride and surfing movie, Kaunertal and Soelden in the Austrian Alps, Points North Heli Adventures in Cordova/Alaska, a boat called "Sama Sama" and the Balicamp of Rudi Hajek create the background for this film. Flo Koefer is the host and guides through different segments throughout the movie. Lorraine and Stefan are quite new in the freeride scene, dreaming of signing their lines into the untracked slopes of Alaska one day. We followed them some days to see where they ride to get closer to their goal. The lines in AK were shot with Flo, Mitch, Ueli and Seth, the Boardercross gold medalist from the Olympic Games in Torino 2006. They already fulfilled their dream of riding in AK, and go back there since then, to meet their circle of friends at Points North Heli Adventures. We also visited the Carpatian Mountains in Romania where we were sitting inside more than riding any sort of snow. At the very end a film inside the film is waiting for you, a surfing trip with the freeriders from the Alps, on their search for perfect waves. We show you pure free-riding without added effects or thousands of pictures, but lines top to bottom arranged with a choice of music not usual for a ski- and snowboard-feature. Enjoy this movie and get inspired to go and ride for yourself, spending time out in the nature, experiencing the mountais or the sea. Have fun and don't eat yellow snow!
