Meda Fury is proud to welcome back Moscow’s finest OL aka Oleg Buyanov for another EP of East-European dance floor paranoia. OL has been busy since his last EP for MF - helping to start the hotlytipped vinyl only Moscow based label Gost Zvuk, as well as recent sought after transmissions on Wilson Records. More moody, nostalgic and atmospheric than his most recent releases, ‘Jungle TV’s smudged textures occupy a similar space to the rhythmic shamanism of Hieroglyphic Being as well as the organic and hypnotic vibes of the legendary Drexciyan Other People Place project. Opener and title track ‘Jungle TV’ sets the pace with thick bass & beats and winsome waterlogged cassette pads, radioactive shuffler ‘Hand Plant’ comes on like a lost Basic Channel cut with it’s spiralling delays and jacked loops, dubbed out minimal jam ‘Yellow Eyes’ with its pounding toms and spatial groove feels like a vintage Mood II Swing dub, closing out with 'Bandit’ displays a narcoleptic lo-fi pulse and enviable bass boom. 'Jungle TV’ EP for Meda Fury could well be his finest work to date - realising all of his signature elements into one mesmerising whole.
