Pendulum Swing

Danny Green, aka Laish, is set to release his third album Pendulum Swing on 4 November 2016 via Talitres. A set of twelve songs that span the spectrum of gentle fingerpicked acoustic guitar ballads, through to more robust art-rock jams. Laish’s plaintive tenor - rich, deeply textured and affecting - takes centre stage as he sings honest, self-reflective songs of relationships failed and survived.
Danny Green formed the band Laish in Brighton in 2008 and became part of the Willkommen Collective, the Brighton alternative folk scene which included the bands Sons of Noel and Adrian (which Green was also a member of from 2008-2014) and The Leisure Society. Laish have released two records, their eponymous debut (2010, Willkommen Records) and Obituaries (2013, Folkwit Records), both recorded by Green at his home. Both received much critical acclaim, with radio plays including BBC6 Music (Marc Riley, Tom Ravenscroft, Gideon Coe, Chris Hawkins), BBC Radio 3’s The Late Junction, BBC Scotland (Roddy Hart) and Amazing Radio (Dani Charlton). Now based in London, Green’s move to the capital, after a life immerged in the Brighton music scene, proved a motivation and inspiration.
